Where to start?!?!

I have incessantly tried to update my blog about my recent whereabouts, ponderings....however I have miserably failed as I couldnt get to write anything.. before it used to come so easy... but now I somehow lost the inspiration!

I have spent most of my time this week at home in Brussels as I am sick and the feeling to write came back!!

Now, next challenge is where to start?!?! I have been to so many places, a few changes - more on the professional front that I have no idea what to write about so bullet points will currently have to suffice!!!

Trips
- South of France (Nice, Cannes, St. Tropez and Monaco)
- Budapest and Perkata (for Ildi and Emanuel's wedding)
- Barcelona (my 4th time and definitely the best trip ever there!!) Xavier and Vannessa were the best hosts!!! Really amazing times!!
- Belgrade (LOVED IT but too much of a short stay.. less than 2 days!)
- Malta (Went to Malta for my brother's performance.. what a show! what a night!)

Next Trips: 2 weeks vacation - first to Portugal for Goncalo's and Andreia's wedding and then off for a week to Malta... I cannot wait for some hardcore sun in Portugal and Malta as its currently winter in Brussels!! The temperature ranges between 15 and 19 degrees in JULY whereas in other countries it is scorching hot AND not to speak about the different shades of grey!!

Job Wise?
- I am about to start a new job within DHL, leaving Products Team and joining Sales Europe Team. I am pretty excited about it as I am sure there is a lot to learn and quite a bit of travelling is involved!
My new job will start on August 1st!

Now, the best part... some pictures from my trips!! :):)

Christmas Atmosphere in Brussels

Ratko and myself today strolled around Grand Place, Place St. Catherine and La Bourse area... tried to keep warm with a few verres de vin chaud :) (glasses of warm wine..) much needed as it was close to zero degrees.. so quite quite cold....

There's such a magical feeling in the air in Brussels during the festive season.... few pics below..

I feel lucky!

I just want to thank all the people who sent me warm wishes and greetings from practically all over the world! It's amazing how an sms, an e-card, an email, phone call makes a person feel elated and lucky that I have friends like all of you..

Thank you so much for making me happy! I am indebted to all of you....

New York

...New city visited, family, old friends and opera!

I had been looking forward to this holiday for ages for a number of reasons:
- First time in the US
- Seeing my brother and niece after nearly 4 months! And going to the met for an opera :)
- Meeting Jen and Petr (albeit for a short time :( )
- Spending quality time with Ildi and Emanuel, friends that I met whilst living in Prague!

I was really hyped up about visiting New York because all the people that I spoke to, who had already visited New York said amazing things about the city: the lifestyle, the hustle and bustle, central park, the towers, the fact that New York "never sleeps'', museums, time square... was such a whirlwind! It was a fantastic holiday but somewhat hectic as Ratko and I really wanted to make the best out of our time in NYC.

The best thing you can take out from AIESEC is the fact that wherever you go, you can reconnect with people that you were close to in the AIESEC times... Meeting Jen, Petr, Ildi and Emanuel was awesome! I wish I had more time with Jen..but she will be coming soon to Europe!

I also cherish the times I spent with my bro, Colette and my Clara - my niece! She is already becoming a real lady :):)

Enough of the talking... below is a glimpse of my stay in NYC!!

Central Park - the scenes you pretty much see in movies!! :):) Must be definitely romantic during the Christmas Period :)

Central Park is just amazing.... having a break in the "wilderness" whilst still being in the heart of the city is grand!

Last pic but definitely not least is the quality time I spent with my niece Clara!!!!! Cannot wait to see her during Christmas!

With love, from New York :)
